Northbrooks Aerospace.jpg
Northbrooks Youth Flying Club (NYFC) was set up in January 2003 with the aim of training and guiding pupils who were interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace industry. During the earlier years, our students mastered control-line flying, and took part and excelled in several National and International Aeromodelling competitions. As we continue to develop our Aerospace Niche, our Youth Flying Club currently pursues several platforms - radio-controlled flying, drone flying, drone coding, FPV drone racing and flight simulations. Over the years, our students have done well in the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition and other various inter-school competitions like the National Airfix Aeromodelling Competition. We have also incorporated the learning of airport ground operations and airport engineering into the CCA curriculum. In close partnership with higher institutions, the organisations from the aviation industry and Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC), our club will continue to work towards greater heights.

Ex-Brooksian, Brendan Lee Wei LiangWe are proud that our ex-Brooksian, Brendan Lee Wei Liang (Class of 2013) has attained his Private Pilot License (PPL), after having gone through rigorous phase training and examinations conducted by the Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC).

During his Secondary School days as a member of the Northbrooks Youth Flying Club, Brendan made full use of his learning opportunities and honed his skills in aviation. The experience inspired him and he developed an avid interest in aviation, aspiring to become a pilot someday. With the attainment of his PPL, his dream has finally materialized.

"The school instilled in me the discipline to work hard and to never give up even when faced with difficult problems. Training as a pilot was no easy task as it required tremendous focus, dedication and knowledge. Undergoing this course, I learnt to be disciplined in  reviewing the all the mistakes I made and strove to always do better in the next flight" said Brendan.

A self-directed learner, Brendan’s fortitude and determination have enabled him to set a new yardstick for the next generation of achievers of the Northbrooks Youth Flying Club.
